• While the population experienced a gradual increase during the first half of the decade, there was a significant surge in population growth in the latter half. This rapid growth can be attributed to factors such as economic development and improved living conditions.

4. Từ vựng IELTS Writing Task 1  dùng để liệt kê

Ví dụ:

• doubled (v): gấp đôi
• one-fourth: 1/4

• double fold: gấp đôi
• 5 times higher: cao hơn gấp 5 lần
• 3 times lower: thấp hơn 3 lần

Ví dụ: 

• The percentage of people using public transportation tripled between 2015 and 2020.
• From 2018 to 2021, the number of people using bicycles doubled.
• The proportion of individuals who drove their own cars decreased by one-fourth from 2016 to 2019.

7. Từ vựng chỉ ngày tháng năm

• From + năm: từ năm X
• Between + Year X and Year Y: giữa năm X và năm Y
• After + Year X: sau năm X
• By/in + Year X: vào năm X
• In + tháng X: vào tháng X

Ví dụ:

• From 2015 to 2018, the number of tourists increased steadily.
  
• By 2022, the tourism industry had recovered significantly.
• After 2018, the number of tourists started to decrease.

8. Bài viết mẫu dạng Bar chart trong IELTS Writing Task 1

Bài 1: The bar chart below shows the popularity of well-known Instagram accounts in 2011 and 2021.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart details the follower statistics for 5 popular personalities on Instagram in 2018 and 2021. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that figures rose for all influencers with Christiano Ronaldo becoming the most followed and Selena Gomez going from most to least popular over the period surveyed.

In 2018, Selena Gomez had by far the most followers at 125 million, more than 10 million above Ariana Grande (112 million) and Ronaldo (110 million). By 2021, Selena’s follower count had nearly doubled to 245 million, while Ronaldo’s surged to lead all  celebrities at 315 million and Ariana Grande increased more than twofold to 251 million.

The final two influencers, Kylie Jenner and The Rock, experienced similarly dramatic rising trends. Kylie’s followers were just under 100 million in 2018 and The Rock was slightly lower at around 95 million. Both influencers added approximately 150 million followers with the former finishing at 250 million and the latter modestly higher at 252 million.
